Daniel Oberton is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy based in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. He received his Doctorate from D'Youville College in Buffalo, New York after moving from his hometown of Winnipeg, Canada.
Daniel has always been interested in the human body and how to keep it functioning properly, free of pain. He specializes in ways to maximize its performance, especially in high-performance athletics. Daniel has a particular interest in the mind and takes into account its connection with the human body.
From a young age, Daniel had a different and strategic way of looking at things. He excelled in chess, competing in many local, national, and international tournaments. Playing at a high level, he represented his province on many occasions, and at his peak ranked 3rd in the country by age group. Daniel has applied this strategic way of thinking onto the treatment of his patients by looking for the root causes of the issues and thinking of all possible treatment options, maximizing rehabilitation potential.
Aside from physical therapy, Daniel also has interest in sports, whether it's playing or watching them. His sport of choice to play is soccer, as he has played in multiple leagues, ranging from recreational and co-ed, to men's leagues. Daniel also has an interest in weight lifting, which he has been doing for over 10 years. Daniel's personal experience in the athletic world allows him to effectively adapt treatment in accordance with athletic demands.
Because Daniel has lived in various places and traveled to different countries, he has a special way of connecting with each and every patient he works with. He enjoys meeting people and learning about them. Daniel is extremely approachable and will always include your ideas in the rehabilitation process.
